Enabled Automatic Teller Machines (ATMs)
Blind Citizens Australia is working with the Australian banks and the Australian
banking industry to establish a comprehensive search facility for members to
locate audio enabled ATMs in their area. While these negotiations are under
way, we have provided the following web links below to the ATM search engines
of the major Australian banks. All the banks listed below provide audio-enabled
ATMs. Both the National Australia and Westpac have a specific ‘audio enabled’
search criteria in their search engine to make it easier to find your nearest
audio ATM. The Commonwealth will highlight after a search which ATMs are audio
enabled in text. Both St.George and ANZ do not yet offer a specific search
criteria option for audio enabled ATMs nor highlight which ATMs are audio
enabled following a search. BCA is in cooperative dialogue with these two
organisations to include these specific search facilities. We have provided the
banks customer service telephone numbers so you may want to call these two banks
and the others if you have difficulty locating your nearest audio enabled ATM.
If you find that the audio ATM you have looked up is not audio enabled when you
arrive at it, please call the relevant bank and inform them.
