Blind Citizens Australia (BCA): National Policy
Two forms have been added to the National policy page so BCA members can have the option of submitting their experiences (case studies), and submitting the advocacy issues that most affect their daily lives. Each form is further described below.
Form 1. Case study/s: This form provides an avenue for members to submit their experiences (case study) concerning their human rights. Member experiences are a valuable resource for BCA’s advocacy. When speaking to government, councils, service providers and other entities on advocacy matters, having real life positive or negative examples that demonstrate the importance of the rights of people who are blind or vision impaired is of considerable advantage.
So if you have experienced discrimination or a positive situation relating to an advocacy matter, please visit the Case Study's form.
Form 2. Barriers to equity: This form provides a place for members to nominate what they perceive to be the major barriers to equity faced by people who are blind or vision impaired in everyday life. Understanding what barriers members are dealing with in their daily lives life will help BCA’s set its policy priorities moving forward. Visit the Barriers to Equity form.
