Blind Citizens Australia Seeks NSW/ACT Administration Officer

BCA is the national representative voice of people who are blind or vision impaired. We offer a challenging opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated person with significant administration experience in the not-for-profit sector to contribute to our administration team.

You will work as part of a small national team from our Sydney office (located in the western suburbs of Sydney). We encourage applications from people who are blind or vision impaired, Aboriginal people and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

Applications are invited for the position of NSW/ACT Administration Officer, at 20 hours per week for 12 months with the possibility of extension. Desirably you will be able to spread your hours across the week to provide coverage in the office. Final working arrangements will be negotiated with the successful candidate. Salary will be based on experience, and salary sacrificing is available. A probation period of 3 months will apply.

As NSW/ACT Administration Officer, you will provide an effective and efficient administration resource to BCA’s NSW operations and to assist the organisation in any other appropriate manner. An important requirement of the role is to maintain ongoing effective relationships with members of Blind Citizens New South Wales (BCNSW), which merged with BCA in December 2017.
