Together we can make change happen.
Donations are essential to continue the work we do, so we welcome your generosity.
We’ve been supporting and advocating for people who are blind or vision impaired for over forty years. We continue to work tirelessly to achieve equity and equality by our empowerment, by promoting positive community attitudes, and by striving for high quality and accessible services which meet our needs.
It is with the support of members and donors who financially contribute to Blind Citizens Australia that we can employ staff with lived experience who can facilitate change on behalf of both individuals and our community.
We would love to live in a world where advocacy wasn’t necessary. Where inclusivity and accessibility were considered upfront by manufacturers, by big banks and by broadcasters.
But, as we all know far too well, this isn’t the case. And many of the BCA team do understand this firsthand, providing them with valuable insights and bringing an authenticity to their roles as advocates.
BCA provides individual advocacy assistance and support at no charge, and regularly tackles accessibility concerns on behalf of our community in the areas of transport, employment, entertainment and more.
We need YOUR help to continue to call out inaccessibility. To highlight human rights issues. To help build an inclusive Australia.
Please give what you can to support our work. We can’t do this alone. But together we CAN make change happen.
Donations over $2 are tax deductible. BCA also welcomes and encourages regular monthly donations, of any size, which help build our capacity to inform, connect and empower people who are blind or vision impaired. Your support is extremely valued.
