David Blyth Award

Every second year, Blind Citizens Australia (BCA) presents the David Blyth Award and the Blind Citizens Australia Certificates of Appreciation.

The David Blyth Award is named after BCA’s founder, Mr David Blyth AO. You can learn more about David by listening to a series of podcasts, “Blindness No Barrier”. The award recognises individuals who have made a significant contribution to the lives of people who are blind or vision impaired. A list of former award recipients is included below.

Certificates of Appreciation are awarded to members of Blind Citizens Australia who have made a significant contribution to the work of the organisation. Recipients are volunteers and contribute to BCA’s work in various ways, including with our communications, supporting peers, assisting in systemic advocacy issues, and with the general operation of the organisation.
